Greetings from Argentia, whose quiet beauty has been a fixture of the province’s Avalon Peninsula for almost 400 years. The Argentia - North Sydney ferry route is operated annually from mid-June to late September, with the MV Atlantic Vision making the one-way journey across the gulf in approximately 14-16 hours.

    How do I board?

The entrance to the Argentia compound is marked by five ticket booths. Upon check-in and receipt of full payment, customers receive their boarding passes, then proceed to one of the 14 available traffic lanes to await boarding.

  • What services and amenities are on site?

Located on the first floor of the terminal building is the ticket counter and baggage-handling area, fully accessible public washrooms with showers, gift shop, children's play space, and a general waiting area. Payphones, an ATM, TTY phone service, and a direct line to Marine Atlantic's reservations office are also available on this floor. There is also an unsupervised outdoor play area.

The second floor features a television room and access to the outside patio area overlooking the harbour.

We recommend customers make prior meal arrangements before arriving at the Argentia terminal as food service is not available. Once you board the ferry, however, there are plenty of dining options available.

The terminal building is fully accessible and any customers requiring a wheelchair may request one for use while on Marine Atlantic property.

    What services are nearby?

Please visit the Argentia and town of Placentia websites for information and complete details on services available in the area.
