    For the convenience of our walk-on passengers, Marine Atlantic offers a checked baggage service.

    Adult passengers travelling with Marine Atlantic may check three (3) pieces of baggage free of charge. The total weight cannot be more than 150 lbs and each bag can weigh no more than 50 lbs.

    Children (0-12 years of age) may check two (2) pieces of baggage free of charge. The total weight cannot be more than 75 lbs and each bag can weigh no more than 50 lbs.

    If your baggage exceeds these limits then an additional charge will be applied to your travel cost.

    Marine Atlantic cannot accept responsibility for any lost items. We recommend that you do not check valuables such as cash, jewellery, important documents, electronic equipment, antiques or heirlooms.
